Prevention is fundamental when it comes to health and it couldn't be any different with oral health. In the same way that you have routine exams with your doctor, it is important to have preventive check-ups every 6 months with your dentist, to avoid complications and illnesses in the future.

The latest technologies in dentistry have contributed greatly to the identification of many problems early on, even before symptoms appear, avoiding lengthy, uncomfortable and more expensive treatments.

This is the case with the digital preventive check-up that we carry out in our clinic. With an intraoral camera, we are able to obtain high definition images that can be enlarged up to 60 times their original size, enabling much greater precision in the patient's diagnosis.

Through a digital dental check-up, the dentist can identify, for example, an infiltration, the beginning of a cavity, enamel cracks and diseases of the oral tissues. After thoroughly evaluating all digital images and x-rays, the professional prepares a report and explains to the patient all the problems found and proposes a treatment plan.

All images taken during the digital check-up are shown to the patient and are also stored on the clinic's computer. If the patient wishes, they can take a copy with them. These images are important to assess progress throughout treatment.
